We hope you find the information in this site both informative and enjoyable.
Team Philosophy
TFS coaches and staff seek to provide a safe, competitive experience for
swimmers as they develop proper technique, set and attain personal goals,
learn self-discipline and practice good sportsmanship.
We think of ourselves as a "family". We have fun, enjoy each other's company
and hopefully win some meets in the process.
Personal development is what we stress. In swimming jargon, that means
improving personal times. Establishing a healthy environment that encourages
kids to do their best, recognizes their contributions to the team and is fun for
the entire family -
these are the goals of Team Fernandina Stingrays.
We stress "low stress" and no pressure.
Pool Location
We practice and hold our home swim meets at the Fernandina  Beach
Recreation Center at 2500 Atlantic Avenue, Fernandina Beach FL 32034
Team Fernandina Stingrays (TFS) is a swim team open to boys and girls
between  4 and 18 years old and are able to swim. (see Membership). We
belong to the River City Swim League (
www.rcsl.org) along with 18 teams from
north Florida. We start practicing in April of each year and have 6 to 7 swim
meets (home and away) starting the end of May / beginning of June and
finishing the middle of July. Championship meet is held at the end of July and
we finish the season with an award banquet. We do also practice and have
stroke and conditioning clinics in the winter before spring training.
